How Do Your Hips Feel Today?

Mar 11, 2022

As you move through your life today, I invite you to notice your hips and pelvis. Just notice them. How do they feel?

➣ Do they feel strong?
➣ Balanced?
➣ Tight? Powerful?
➣ Intact?

Most people, particularly women, are disconnected from their lower power center, their sacral chakra, either from trauma they have experienced, their births, or other memories stored in these tissues.

The “SACRAL CHAKRA” is our “SACRED SPACE-” our temple and space where our deep wisdom, our knowing and our immense creative power resides.

Your sacral chakra- hips, pelvis, and wombspace- holds both memories of trauma AND the unlimited potential for creation.

Your sacral space has created many things- perhaps it has created and sustained life.Perhaps it has inspired you to create art, music, or connected you to new ideas that were wanting to be expressed through you.  It also holds the memories of past traumas and ancestral grief. Now is the time to tap into the part of your womb that is READY to release the past and move forward into love, nourishment, and growth-CREATION.

In my book, “Wisdom from the Womb-The Magic of a Baby-Led Birth", I offer many Womb Connections for you to connect deeper into your creative spaces and to your baby.

The seat of your Soul,
          your creation point,
               your unique essence
and creative center lie in the wombspace.

The first step to releasing trauma and inviting in creativity is CONNECTING to the sacral chakra.

Today I invite you to try this easy moving meditation to connect to yours!

~ Put on some music (I love to use the Snatam Kaur Pandora station)
~ Sit on 2 pillows, straddling the pillows with your hips up on the pillows and your feet behind you (it is easier to rock your pelvis this way). Or cross legged with your hips up on the pillows if that is easier.
~ Put your hands on your wombspace  and begin breathing in and out of your belly.
~ As you breathe in, rock your belly forward and as you breathe out, rock your belly back towards you. Keep your attention in your wombspace.
~ After a few minutes, start circling your pelvis one way for a few minutes and then the other way.
~ Do this for a few minutes and then begin to let your arms, feet, and chest move if they want to.
~ If you want to stand up and move, go for it. Just make sure that your pelvis is always moving and is the source for all other movement. Remember the point is to CONNECT to your sacral chakra.

This practice will help you through the day with greater ease and more productivity. You should begin to feel more alive and beautiful while creating the life of your dreams, more open to receiving all of the abundance that life has to offer.

It all begins with CONNECTING to your sacred spaces.
