Channeling the Mother Goddess
Mar 14, 2022
I want to share one more powerful Kriya with you today.
Earlier this week I shared a way to build trust, and to connect with your sacral chakra.
Today I want to share one of my favorite kriyas from the Womb Connections in my book, “Wisdom from the Womb- The Magic of a Baby-Led Birth”.
The Durga Kriya- Channeling the Mother Goddess. Whenever you need to REMEMBER your own POWER, this is where to go. Remember that doing a kriya can repattern the neural pathways in your brain so that you are programmed to believe without a doubt that you have all the strength of Durga with her single-pointed spear. All the power to overcome ANYTHING that stands in your way.
We did this Kriya at my book launch party, and it was SO FUN!!

Durga is the fierce mother goddess in the Hindu religion. She is the epitome of powerful and doesn’t let anyone stop her on her path. She rides a lion and has eight arms, yielding weapons and flowers. She slayed demons that no one else could. It is said that meditating on Durga can bring forth warrior-like strength and protective compassion- that mama bear energy. When you bring her energy into your inner world, she can empower you and guide you through conflict and drama and help you let go of the illusions and fears that hold you back.
Durga Kriya 2-
- Grab an imaginary spear in your right hand and lift it up overhead.
- Lift your left leg and imagine your fears standing next to you.
- With a mighty yell, shouting Durga or any primitive noise that comes up for you, drop your weight onto your left leg as you power the spear through your fears.
- Don’t be shy, let your throat chakra experience being completely open as you allow Durga’s fierce energy to slay your demons.
- Repeat 5-7 times on each side.
Ahhhhhh!!!! I love how I feel after I do this Kriya!
My energy is on 100!! I feel like I can conquer the WORLD!!
